Andrew has performed in 15 consecutive Melbourne International Comedy Festivals and is a four-time veteran of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. He has twice been invited to perform at the New Zealand International Comedy Festival and is a past recipient of the Comedians’ Choice Award at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and the Jury Prize at the Sydney Comedy Festival.

His television appearances include Spicks and Specks (ABC), In Siberia Tonight (SBS), Stand Up Australia (The Comedy Channel), AD/BC (SBS), The Chaser’s War On Everything (ABC1) and providing all the voices for the animated series The Dukes of Broxtonia (ABC3). He presented a segment every Friday on Channel 10′s morning program The Circle for over two years and recently appeared on Channel 7′s Slide Show.

Andrew is one of the few comedians ever invited to perform at the Perth International Arts Festival and in 2011 he performed a season at London’s Soho Theatre. In 2012 Andrew’s Moosehead Recipient show Tie Her To The Tracks – A live silent film, played to sell-out houses at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, while his stand-up show Andrew McClelland’s One Man Stand was awarded the Crikey.com.au ‘Best of the Fest’ Award. He has recently completely seasons in Adelaide and Melbourne with his new show Hang The DJ. He can regularly be seen as a cast member of the improvised show Spontaneous Broadway and as a M.C and headline act at comedy rooms around the country.

Andrew is also an accomplished DJ both through his own very successful club night, Mr. McClelland’s Finishing School and his appearances at festivals throughout Australia and internationally.

Andrew’s reputation is as one of this country’s most enthusiastic selectors. His sets show off his pure love of music from all times and genres. Andrewplays indie, chart pop, alternative, twee, hip-hop, folk, power pop, punk, swing, country, electronica, soul, doo-wop, rock and more besides. He dances, hollers and shakes his way through sets with  a palpable joy that carries over to the dance floor and never fails to get the floor moving. Fact.
